Audio Books.
 

Audio Books are not as tricky or as expensive as you might think. We have created a method of inexpensively putting together audio books that will knock your socks off. We undercut costs by teaching you how to record at home (it's easy), and we work on the audio once it gets here, turning average recording quality into pristine, Grammy-ready sound. We work with you to create original music for your soundtrack, or we let the pristine quality of your voice speak for itself. Audio books have a market that is little explored by major publishers, and you will have many more opportunities to garner success for your story. Instead of being one of 300,000 new books published each year, you will be one of a few thousands audio books!

Hardcover Books.
 

Hardcover books are the industry standard. Traditionally, each author with a major press would first release their books as hardcovers, and only much later release a softcover. Hardcover printing is, unfortunately, much more expensive, especially if you have a dust jacket... However, you can charge MUCH more for the book in stores and on the web. And, the book carries a stigma -- it looks like the industry standard. Hardcover books can be produced under 1,000 copies, but it's not advisable, as they are several times more expensive when printed using short-run digital presses.

Softcover Books.
 

Although Hardcover Books are the industry standard for a new author, Softcover Books are often the most advisable first step. They cost a fraction of what Hardcovers cost, and are often just as desirable for readers. Also, don't think that Softcovers are "cheap." With the right designer, a softcover book will pop off the shelf of a bookstore just as well as a hardcover. It will cost far less to produce, and can be "tested" with the market -- short-run digital printings are reasonably priced...

Book Cover Design.

Interior Layout.
 

After 5 seconds looking at the front cover, and 3 seconds on the back, a customer pages through their potential purchase... If the book doesn't look professional, elegant, beautiful, simple, creative, or in some other way unique, the customer will put the book back down, regardless of how interesting the story might be. If you tell a story with someone in the room, the listener has your face, your lips, smells, other sounds, context, setting, and much more. When a reader pages through book, they have none of that. They have your descriptions, your stories... But they also have the layout. Page through a few of your favorite books on your own bookshelf, and see what some great layout artists do with the page. Typesetting.
 

Typesetting is, very simple, taking what you see on paper or a computer screen, and putting it into a format, size, and layout that can be printed by the printer. Pictures are optimized, tables are perfected... Each corner, page number, period, and other little details are carefully converted into a print-safe version of your manuscript.

Illustration.
 

We know how important illustration can be to a story, and carefully match authors up with artists that accentuate their work, whether children's books, coffee table books, or anything else. There's no limit to the impact great artwork can have on a manuscript.

Printing.
 

We have many options for printing, from custom sized hard or softcovers to audio book Mp3 CDs. We have the capacity to print from 1 to many thousand copies of your book, and can quote you one of the lowest rates in the industry. We work with some of the finest printers in the country, and have special deals with them to work quickly, and at the highest quality of production. You always get a PDF or hard copy proof of your book before we go to print...
